Belgium Beer Pairing Dinner – RESERVATIONS CLOSED


Our first beer dinner of 2019 will be a five course dinner of modern takes on rustic Belgian food, paired with amazing Belgian beers, including the newest addition to the storied Trappist beers. The food will be crafted by Chef Nick Starinshak, and the beer expertise will be provided by Advanced Cicerone George Dimeo.

Price: $100 (gratuity not included)

Course 1: Bernardus Witbier + Duck
Course 2: Straffe Hendrik Tripel + Mussels
Course 3: Kievit Zundert 8 Trappist beer + Elk
Course 4: Verhaeghe Duchesse De Bourgogne + Eel
Course 5: Kasteel Barista Chocolate Quad + Sabayon
If you wish to reserve your seats, simply let us know by Friday January 18 by emailing us at After that we will need to get a credit card number from you. The information will only be used as security and would only be charged if you do not attend the dinner. You can get us your information by (1) stopping in at 716 NW 21st and providing it to the server, or (2) giving us your phone number and we will call you to get the credit card information.

Beer is central to this event. Please plan ahead for safe transportation after the dinner. We want to see you at the next one, too.

5th Anniversary Party & Home Brew Contest

Celebrate our fifth anniversary with us starting at 3pm and vote for your favorite  Belgium-style home brew in the People’s Choice category! We will have a bunch of swag to give away, introduce our anniversary beer brewed special for us by Ale Apothecary, and other special treats throughout the day!

For the home brew contest, entries will be accepted in all Belgium beer styles. Winners will be determined by our panel of judges, plus there will also be a People’s Choice award. The winners in each category will receive a $100 gift certificate and bragging rights.

Email your name, email address, contact phone and which beer style(s) you will be submitting for to by Wednesday March 6, 2019.

Submit four 12-oz bottles or two 22-oz bottles of beer for each category you enter no later than Friday, March 8, 2018Your name, contact info and beer style must be taped (or some other secure method–do not merely rubber band a label to the bottle please) to each bottle submitted. We will email all the entrants Saturday morning to confirm we have their entries ready to go for the judges’ evaluation at noon.

The People’s Choice voting will start at 3pm and continue while supplies last.

Belgian Beer Day

Our biggest event of the year! There will be one-day-only flights, food pairings, beer reps with swag and, you know us, maybe some surprises. Worldwide televised toast is at 3pm (midnight in Antwerp)–but an incredible event all day long.
